The West Midlands Safari Park -

The Historic Gloucester Docks -

Waddesdon
(National Trust) - Built between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de
Rothschild, now houses an extraordinary collection of French 18th
century decorative arts including portraits by Gainsborough and Reynolds.
Waddesdon has one of the finest Victorian Gardens in Britain and an aviary of
exotic birds. Not to mention the thousands of bottled vintage wines found in
the cellars, some of which can be purchased in the wine and gift shop.
With wild life walks, restaurants,
Children’s play area plus much more, this really is a great day out for all the

Warwick Castle - You don’t just visit Britain’s greatest mediaeval experience, You Live It. Be swept up in the momentous historical event of Richard
Neville, Kingmaker and Earl of Warwick, as he readies his troops on the eve of
battle in 1471. Above the roar of the armourer’s furnace and ringing steel, you
can almost feel the fear throughout each of the six household chambers.

Ironbridge - Follow the foot steps of curious admirers, who have been
enthralled by the great arches since 1779 and visit the many museums alongside

Shugborough Estate (National Trust) - is the seat of the Earl of Lichfield and
contains interesting collectables of china, silver, paintings and furniture.
The stable block houses the original servants quarters and there is a rare
breeds farmstead.

Children’s farm yard as well as Licensed Restaurant, tea room and annual special
events.

Drayton Manor Theme Park - every day is full of thrills and fun. Based in Tamworth in

The Cotswold Wildlife Park - is set in 160 acres of parkland and gardens around a
listed Victorian Manor House and has been open to the public since 1970. The
Park is home to a fascinating and varied collection of over 260 species of
mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates from all over the world, many of
which are endangered.
See the penguins being fed, the parrots
flying and bird of prey demonstration during the summer months and visit the
Children’s Farm Yard next to the play ground to see Shetland ponies, Pygmy
Goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and many more rare breeds. The Tropical House is
home to a wide range of birds and plants and the former stables now displays the
Reptiles and Amphibians such as crocodile’s, Tortoises, snakes, lizards and much
more. Or just take a leisurely walk around the Park and see the many larger

Alton Towers - Probably the most well known theme park in the UK with all
it’s rides and attractions. Enter the forbidden Valley and try out some of the
exhilarating rides like, AIR which gives you the feeling of flying, NEMESIS
reaching speeds of 80km per hour, but not for the faint hearted, RIP SAW takes
you 50ft in the air then spins, loops and soaks you with water. The X Sector
with OBLIVION, the worlds first vertical drop roller coaster and also the Black
Hole, Submission and Enterprise. Katanga Canyon with its Congo Rapids Ride and
the Run A Way Mine Train.
